Game Summary

Angry Omnath kept a three-land hand containing Force of Vigor, Skyshroud Claim, and several expensive payoffs. When Brutal Brago opened with a Turn 1 Sol Ring, Angry Omnath exiled Craterhoof Behemoth to destroy it with Force of Vigor. Omnath then used Gruul Turf, Life from the Loam, and Skyshroud Claim to develop its mana, eventually casting Doubling Season on Turn 5.

Brutal Brago established a genuine blink-control engine rather than merely deploying its commander. Reality Acid combined with a Brago trigger to remove Doubling Season and then moved onto Gruul Turf. Rishadan Footpad forced Angry Omnath to sacrifice the condemned Turf and, after being blinked, a Mountain. Brago later equipped Sword of Feast and Famine, dealt repeated commander damage, and cast Azor, the Lawbringer, preventing Angry Omnath from casting instants or sorceries on Turn 8.

Despite that pressure, Angry Omnath resolved Omnath, Locus of Rage and then Parallel Lives. An Arid Mesa plus its fetched Mountain produced four 5/5 Elementals. On Turn 8, Warstorm Surge resolved before Scalding Tarn and its fetched Mountain produced four more Elementals. Two Warstorm Surge triggers dealt 10 damage to Brago and two more dealt 10 to Azor, removing both before combat.

Angry Omnath attacked with Omnath and the four older Elementals for 25 damage, leaving Brutal Brago at 15 life. The remaining board contained Omnath and eight 5/5 Elementals—45 power—with no answer found from Brago’s Turn 8 draw. Both players recognized the demonstrated next combat as lethal, so the result was recorded as a combat win rather than a concession.

• Angry Omnath kept an opening seven of Mountain, Arid Mesa, Gruul Turf, Force of Vigor, Skyshroud Claim, Doubling Season, and Craterhoof Behemoth.
• Exiling Craterhoof Behemoth to Force of Vigor immediately destroyed Brago’s Turn 1 Sol Ring, denying an explosive start while exiling the least immediately useful card in Omnath’s hand.
• Gruul Turf returned Mountain, while Life from the Loam recovered Arid Mesa. Skyshroud Claim then found two untapped Forests and supplied the mana needed for Omnath’s larger plays.
• Reality Acid and Brago’s combat trigger removed Doubling Season before it generated value. Moving Reality Acid onto Gruul Turf also placed additional pressure on Angry Omnath’s mana.
• Rishadan Footpad allowed Angry Omnath to sacrifice the already-enchanted Gruul Turf, sending Reality Acid to the graveyard without another sacrifice trigger. Brago blinked Footpad on the following attack and forced the sacrifice of a Mountain as well.
• Sword of Feast and Famine made Brago unblockable by Angry Omnath’s green creatures, raised the accumulated Brago commander damage to eight, forced a Genesis Wave discard, and untapped Brutal Brago’s lands for Azor, the Lawbringer.
• Angry Omnath rebuilt around Parallel Lives. Arid Mesa created two Elementals when played, then fetched a Mountain that created two more.
• Warstorm Surge was sequenced before the Turn 8 land drop. Scalding Tarn and its fetched Mountain consequently created four Elementals whose triggers killed Brago and Azor before combat.
• Omnath and the four Elementals created on the previous turn attacked for 25. Four newly created Elementals remained summoning-sick, leaving 45 total power positioned for the following combat against a player at 15 life.

Game Context

• Brago’s interaction materially delayed Angry Omnath. Force of Vigor stopped Brago’s initial acceleration, but Reality Acid and repeated Rishadan Footpad triggers later removed Doubling Season and two lands from Omnath’s board.
• Brutal Brago established meaningful control and resource pressure through its commander, Reality Acid, Rishadan Footpad, Sword of Feast and Famine, and Azor, the Lawbringer. Angry Omnath won after rebuilding through that disruption, not because Brago failed to develop.
• Several play-state corrections occurred. Gruul Turf was initially described as producing two green mana rather than red-green; Angry Omnath was also initially treated as able to pay Rishadan Footpad with two lands when only Cinder Glade was untapped.
• An attempted second casting of Life from the Loam was rewound because Angry Omnath had drawn Greater Good rather than replacing the draw with dredge. Life from the Loam therefore remained in the graveyard.
• The game stopped after the lethal board and damage calculation were demonstrated. Although the final 45-power attack was not physically played out, the ending was recognized and recorded as Combat, not Scoop.
